The sudden and ravaging outbreak of the Coronavirus, Covid-19 pandemic has left no almost no stone unturned. Economies, as well as societies, have collapsed, families separated and lives lost. And when there seems to be darkness all over, his Lordship, Mgr. George Nkuo, Bishop of Kumbo has called on all in the Diocese of Kumbo, through a Pastoral circular, to join the universal Church and the entire world in a day of prayer for humanity. This comes after the appeal made by the Holy Father Pope Francis in this same regard. Thus, Thursday 14th May 2020 is the D-Day for prayer, fasting, and charitable works for humanity’s sake to conquer the new dreaded disease, the Coronavirus.

This date falls in line with the Diocesan program of weekly adoration to pray for an end to the socio-political crisis prevailing in this part of Cameroon since 2016.

It is hoped that as many as possible, Catholics as well as non-Catholics, and many more will join implore through the Blessed Virgin Mary, Health of the sick, God’s favor for mankind.
